Packing, Packing!

We are packing packing. It looks like we will be moving on the 3rd and 4th of January to our new place. I think that Alex is excited. I don't think he really knows what is going on. Last week, we had a horrible week at night with him. He would wake up multiple times and just scream. In the past, we have just let him cry a little and then he would go back to sleep, but not this time. We were kinda hoping to switch from the crib to the big boy bed when we moved, but I think that Alex was telling us that it is time! We switched him last Friday night and things have been better. He still wakes up at night, but he doesn't cry anymore and it is really nice that he can just come in in the morning. I am usually pretty tired. You gatta love pregnancy fatigue. By 8:00 at night, I'm done. :-) I finally made my first doc's appointment for February 7. Happy Birthday to me. :-) Our next big step is Tom trying to find a job. His got about 40 resumes out there. We pray that God will provide the right one. Wow, this is a really boring post, but I just wanted to update everyone. We love you! Amanda

Crazy, Crazy

Hello Friends! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! I'm not sure where to start? :-) Well, I guess from the beginning... About couple of days before Christmas, I found out I was pregnant again. We should have a new little Hoskins sometime late August. We are very excited. Alex wants a little sister. (Mom does too) About a week before we found out that I was pregnant, we found out that we could qualify to buy a house. We had just contacted a random thing online, and then we started to seriously talk about buying a house and the next thing we know we start looking. We where very limited on our price, so we were looking at fixer-uppers, but just didn't find any that would fit our needs and budget. We switched realtors and and our new one, Lori is a spit-fire-get-it-done-now type of person. So we were looking all over the place right before Christmas and we put a contract on a house in Wheat Ridge right before Christmas. It was a major fixer-upper, but had huge potential and Tom loved it. Well during the inspection the next week (in between Christmas and New years) we found out that it actually had major problems, and I just wasn't willing to put that much effort into a house. Sorry Tom. :-( He was really diappointed and wanted to call the whole thing off and Lori called the next day and asked Tom to look at another house. He looked at it and showed me the pamphlet over New Years (we were up at my grandparent's condo in Breakenridge) and I looked at it Monday and we signed another contract. Needless to say the last few weeks have been a blur. Lots of ups and downs. :-) We have the inpection on the house today, but I don't foresee any problems. So, if all goes well, we will close Feb 1 and move sometime in February. It is an adorable little house in Arvada (yea!) but it doesn't have a garage (boo). But we know a really great guy who knows how to build things..... Yes, Tom's pretty excited about being able to build a garage to his specifications. :-) So that's our project for now. Alex is going to do gymnastics again. He loved kicking on the balance beam last fall. I'll try to update a little more often now. Love ya all
